What a Cerfinity™ TagTamper Seal Does
Tamper detection: antenna severs if the slab is cracked open. The break is permanent and recorded on the provenance record — it cannot be reversed or reset.
NFC tap: any modern smartphone taps the tag and retrieves the provenance record instantly — no app required.
Cryptographic link: each tag contains a unique encrypted ID anchored to the Cerfinity™ ledger. Cannot be cloned or duplicated.
Attestation transparency: every provenance page shows who applied the tag, when, and at what attestation level (owner-applied vs. SlabProof event-verified).
Who Applies the Tag — And Why It Matters
A Cerfinity™ TagTamper seal proves a slab has not been opened since the tag was applied. It does not independently verify what was inside when the tag was applied. That's why SlabProof displays the attestation level on every provenance page:
- Owner/Dealer Applied (Level 2): Tamper-evident from date of application. Provenance based on owner attestation.
- SlabProof Event-Verified (Level 3): SlabProof staff visually inspected the slab before applying the seal. The highest trust signal in the market.
