Why we exist
Grading told the hobby what a card is worth. It never told the hobby where that slab has been. Cert numbers are printed data, and printed data can be copied. Cases can be opened, cards can be swapped, and a label can outlive the card it was issued for. The result is a market where a buyer's only real protection is a photograph and a seller's word.
SlabProof registers a slab as a unique unit and records every ownership event against it. When a collector or dealer looks up that record, they see a chain of custody instead of a claim — and any break in that chain is visible.
Who builds it
SlabProof™ is a Cerfinity, Inc. brand, built on Cerfinity™ Digital Provenance Solutions — the same provenance ledger infrastructure used for high-value physical assets. Attestation levels differ by record: a registry entry is not the same as an event-verified inspection, and we label the difference plainly on every record.
